About the Dream Big 5k
The course runs through the campus of a community college, with the start and finish inside a football stadium. The route follows paths around the grounds, so the surroundings feel more like a campus stroll than a road race. A children's fun run follows the main event, also held inside the stadium, which gives the morning a family gathering feel.
Parking is free in lots near the stadium, and the campus is accessed from a side road off the main address. Check-in opens before the start, and the awards ceremony happens right in the stadium shortly after the main race wraps. Local vendors and music are part of the post-race scene.
