About the 44th Annual Draper Mile (2026)

The Draper Mile runs entirely on Draper Road, tipping steadily downhill the whole way to a finish line dropped right into a street festival. The descent is consistent enough that most runners will run noticeably faster here than they would on a track. The festival crowd lines the final stretch, so the finish has real noise around it.

Packet pickup is at a local running store the afternoon before the start. The awards ceremony happens at the corner where the course ends, right after the final heat wraps up.

Common Questions About the 44th Annual Draper Mile (2026)

Will I finish last at the 44th Annual Draper Mile (2026)?

Almost certainly not. Half the 1 Miles field finished slower than 6:53, and the last recorded finisher came in around 16:54, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the 44th Annual Draper Mile (2026) a good first 1 Miles?

A field of 401 is big enough that you will have company at your pace without feeling lost in a crowd. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 1 Miles, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the 44th Annual Draper Mile (2026)?

The 1 Miles winner ran 3:51 while the median finisher took 6:53. That spread points to a mixed field, with a competitive front and a big recreational middle.
