About the 14th Annual Downtown Willoughby 5k
The course runs through the streets of downtown Willoughby, starting and finishing on Erie Street. It stays mostly flat the whole way, passing through the heart of the downtown district with police and volunteers managing traffic throughout. The race benefits Make-A-Wish, so there is genuine purpose behind it beyond the running itself.
Packet pickup happens over the two days before the race at a running store in Mentor, with a race-morning option at a post office on the main race street. Parking is free in several nearby lots and along residential streets off the course. After the finish, drink tickets come attached to your bib and work at a long list of bars and restaurants within walking distance.
