About the Dose of Color 5k
The course runs several loops around Ritter Park, with the shelter serving as both start and finish. Color stations line the path on each loop, and volunteers throw colored powder on runners as they pass. A cone splits the path at each station if you would rather stay clean, though the organizers are upfront that some color may find you anyway.
The race benefits the local Ronald McDonald House, organized by a university pharmacy school and sponsored by a pharmacy chain. The setup is straightforward: a park loop course on an evening, built around the color-throwing experience rather than a fast finish time.
