About the Don Maynard Memorial 5K
The course begins on Colrain Road and winds through a part of town called the Meadows before looping back, with a stretch along a bike path that ends on a bridge over a river. Walkers take a separate loop on the bike path. The terrain is mixed, so expect pavement and path rather than a single surface throughout.
The race honors a local figure, and proceeds support a scholarship for graduating high school seniors from the county. There are age group categories for older runners, and prize money goes to the fastest teenage finishers. The river at the finish is apparently fair game for cooling off after you cross the bridge.

The Don Maynard Memorial 5K has been held every year since at least 2020. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
