About the Twister Trot 5K & Mini Dash
The course starts and finishes on a university campus, then winds out through a historic residential neighborhood before looping back. The terrain around that kind of older neighborhood tends to have gentle rolls rather than a truly flat road, and the streets themselves give the run a different feel than a park or trail course.
The race shares the morning with a full homecoming celebration on campus, so the finish area has real energy around it. A kids' dash runs alongside the main event, which means families are spread throughout the start area.
