This is a charity run that benefits a local animal welfare group working to reunite lost pets with their owners. The proceeds go toward installing a permanent microchip scanner at Bold Republic Brewing, which doubles as the race hub and gives the morning a neighborhood taproom feel rather than a big-event footprint.
