About the Divine Llama Haunted Wine Run 5k

The course winds through the vineyard rows at Divine Llama Vineyards, a working farm where llamas actually live on the property. Underfoot it is mostly grass with uneven patches, and there are several turns to navigate. The terrain and the scenery are the point here, not a fast time. The Halloween theme runs through the whole event, and there is wine at the finish.

Packet pickup is race morning only, opening about an hour before the start. The start area is at the vineyard itself, so plan for a farm setting rather than a road-race staging area. Runners who want a look at the llamas up close should know there is a separate admission charge for that part of the property.

Common Questions About the Divine Llama Haunted Wine Run 5k

Will I finish last at the Divine Llama Haunted Wine Run 5k?

Almost certainly not. Half the 5K field finished slower than 46:45, and the last recorded finisher came in around 1:21:00, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the Divine Llama Haunted Wine Run 5k a good first 5K?

A field of 389 is big enough that you will have company at your pace without feeling lost in a crowd. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 5K, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the Divine Llama Haunted Wine Run 5k?

The 5K winner ran 21:48 while the median finisher took 46:45. That spread points to a broad, mostly recreational field rather than a race dominated by club runners.
