About the 10th Annual Ditch Diggers Dash & Touch a Truck
The course starts and finishes at Assett Loop, heads north on Discovery Boulevard, and comes back. The surroundings feel more industrial than park-like, which fits the name. Strollers and leashed dogs are welcome, with dogs kept toward the back of the field. The race benefits a pair of charitable causes.
After the last runner finishes, the police open Discovery Boulevard so runners can drive over to a nearby brewery for a drink before awards are announced. Age group awards run deep across a wide spread of categories, so most runners have a shot at placing in their bracket.
