About the District Dash 5K Fun Run & Walk
The course runs through the high school campus, taking in the access road, the cross country trail, and a stretch of the track. It is a mix of surfaces rather than a single-surface loop, which gives it a little variety without throwing anything too technical at you.
The race is a fundraiser for an educational endowment that sends grant money back into the local school district. The start area is at the high school, with same-day registration available in the morning before the kids' fun run kicks things off ahead of the main race.
