The race starts outside the local library and follows a road course out and back through the surrounding neighborhood streets. The route is straightforward with no significant hills, and the shorter distance option turns around well before the longer one. The whole event is a fundraiser for the library, so the crowd skews toward people who actually use the place.

Coffee from a local shop is available at the start area. The library recently finished a renovation and expansion, so the starting line is in a different spot than it used to be, now positioned directly out front on the street.
