About the Desert Twilight XC Festival Community 5k

This is a cross country 5k run at night, on a course lined with lights. The surface mixes grass, dirt, and cart path, so it has the feel of a true cross country race rather than a road event. It takes place during a large high school cross country meet, so the atmosphere is that of a competitive racing evening rather than a casual weekend run.

The course opens before the race for inspection and warm-ups, which is worth taking advantage of given the mixed terrain. Awards go to overall finishers and to the top placers in each age group.
