About the DeLeon Dash 5K

The course winds through DeLeon Springs State Park, mixing paved roads, sidewalks, dirt paths, and unpaved trails. You run past the spring pool, beneath a canopy of old oaks, and by the Old Sugar Mill. The terrain shifts underfoot throughout, so it is not a road race in the usual sense. Expect shade and the smell of fresh water.

Packet pickup runs the evening before at a nearby church on the same boulevard as the park, with race-morning pickup available at the park as well. Parking is inside the park. Get there before the cutoff or you will not be able to start. After the race, the spring pool, nature trails, and pancakes at the Old Sugar Mill are all right there.
