The course runs through a residential neighborhood built around a lake, starting and finishing at an elementary school. The surroundings are suburban and tree-lined, and the route stays on neighborhood roads. The fun run takes place on the school's recess grounds out back, which keeps younger participants close to the action without sending them onto the main course.
