About the Deer Dash 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run

The course loops through downtown Monticello, so you spend most of the race on city streets with storefronts and neighborhoods around you. The shorter distance goes out and back along Eatonton Street, while the longer route circles a wider stretch of town. Both stay on pavement and the terrain is gentle throughout.

Packet pickup is available the evening before at the Monticello Chamber of Commerce, with race-morning registration and pickup opening well before the first wave goes off. Awards follow not long after the last finishers come in.
