About the Day of the Dead Half Marathon - Fort Worth
The course runs through Marine Creek Lake park, weaving past open water and trees in a setting that leans toward scenery. The Day of the Dead theme runs deep: runners are encouraged to show up in costume, and a pre-race costume contest with judges happens at the start area before anyone takes a step.
Post-race, there is a rally tent with live music, a DJ calling finishers by name, and Mexican food and drinks. Awards are announced in person. The costume contest winner is recognized before the race, so the celebration starts early and carries through to the end.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2025 results, this is a small, friendly field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.
