The course winds through Defiance, a small town that goes full Christmas for this event. Holiday lights are up, and neighbors come out to watch from the street. The race runs right before the town's Christmas festival and parade, so most people stay and make a full day of it.
The start and finish area is at Good News Brewing. Parking nearby is tight, so arriving early or walking in from the public lot at the S-curve is the practical move. The brewery puts you steps from the parade route, which makes it easy to settle in after you finish.
