About the Dasche for the Stache 5K
This is a mustache race in every sense: participants are encouraged to grow one, draw one, or tape one on before the start. The course runs through downtown Gadsden and begins and ends at a pub, which tells you something about the tone. The cause behind it is men's health awareness, and proceeds go to a local foundation supporting that work.
Packet pickup the evening before happens at the same pub, often in the courtyard if the weather cooperates. Race-morning pickup is available too. When the running is done, the post-race party stays right there at Blackstone Pub and Eatery, with drinks on offer while awards are handed out.
