About the Dan Rankin Memorial 5K
The Dan Rankin Memorial 5K honors a local runner killed by an impaired driver while training. The race benefits the Delaware Wrestling Alliance and carries real weight for the people who show up. Expect a crowd that knew Dan, or knows someone who did, running to keep his memory moving.
Bib pickup happens the morning of the race at Volunteer Brewing Company, which also serves as the gathering point before the start. There is not much of a gap between pickup closing and the gun, so arriving early is worth it.
