About the Día de los Muertos 5K
The course winds through a nature center and is designed to work for all mobility levels, including strollers and wheelchairs. The surroundings are greener and quieter than a typical city 5K, with the feel of a park rather than a road race.
The race is a fundraiser, and all proceeds go to a local community bail fund. Post-race festivities celebrate Día de los Muertos, so the finish area has a cultural celebration feel rather than a quick pack-up. The event is put on by the Wasatch Trails Collective and draws families, supporters, and runners alike.
