About the CUFFS & HOSES 5K/10K BLOCK PARTY
This is a nighttime road race through downtown Pikeville, starting after dark with emergency vehicle lights and a block party already in full swing around the start and finish on Main Street. The course runs through lit-up streets, with the surrounding event carrying you along. It benefits first responder community programs, with the police, fire, and public safety departments all involved.
The evening starts hours before the gun with food trucks, vendors, and live music on a stage near the start. The race goes off after dark, so expect flashing lights and crowd noise rather than a quiet morning start. A nineties costume is encouraged but optional, and plenty of people lean into it.
