About the CRC Labor Day Weekend 10K & 5K
The course follows the Trinity River, so you get water alongside you for most of the run. It starts and finishes at Woodshed Smokehouse, a riverside restaurant that gives the whole morning a cookout-before-noon feeling rather than a purely athletic one.
After finishing, there are breakfast tacos and snacks at the smokehouse, and runners who are old enough can get a margarita at the bar. The post-race scene stays right where you finished, which makes it easy to hang around.
