About the CRC Hell's Half Acre Half Marathon & 5K
This is a summer night race in Trinity Park, which gives it a different feel than most half marathons. The heat is still there, but racing after dark changes the mood. The half marathon follows a looped course while the shorter distance goes out and back, so the routes share some ground but feel distinct. A relay option lets two people split the half marathon distance.
The race is named for Fort Worth's old vice district, and that history hangs in the background without being overdone. Music plays during the event, so the park has some life to it while runners are still on course. Chip timing is used throughout.
