About the Crazy's Christmas Run
This is a memorial race honoring Brenda Purcell, starting from Purcell Field on Church Ave in Louisa. The organizers note the course has been updated this year, so the route itself is relatively fresh. Proceeds support local causes, including a playground build for the town and a pair of school athletic programs.
The race starts in the late afternoon, which means cooler winter air and a different feel than a typical morning event. There is a water station out on the course. Cash prizes go to the top finishers overall, and age group awards cover a wide range of brackets for both men and women.

Crazy's Christmas Run 2025 Results
Going by the 2025 results, this is a small, friendly field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

The Crazy's Christmas Run has been held every year since at least 2025. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Oct 18, 2026.
