About the CPD Honor Guard Cops and Cookies Run
The course runs through Columbus with cookie stops along the way, which is the actual draw here. Several local bakeries set up at the aid stations and the finish, including a few names Columbus runners will recognize. The race is built around honoring officers who have died in the line of duty, and that tone carries through the morning.
Packet pickup happens before race day, so plan accordingly. The start area doubles as something of a police showcase, with dogs, mounted officers, a SWAT presence, and, if the weather cooperates, a helicopter on the ground to walk around.
