About the Cowboy Ramble Run & Rhythm

The course runs through historic downtown Washington along the Pamlico River, so there is water beside you for much of the route. The race carries a western theme tied to the Historic Turnage Theatre, which Roy Rogers once visited with his horse. Dogs on leashes and strollers are welcome out on the course.

Packet pickup happens at the Historic Turnage Theatre on Main Street in the days before the race, with a morning-of option at the start line. Parking is free throughout downtown. A country music concert at the theatre follows the run, and there is a costume contest for best cowboy or cowgirl outfit.
