About the Country Mill Spiked Apple 5k
The course runs through a working orchard and cider mill, looping back past sunflower fields before returning to the winery where it started. The ground has some uneven spots and gentle rises in places, so trail shoes or grippy road shoes are worth considering. Registration opens on-site the morning of the race.
After finishing, there are fresh buttermilk donuts and hard cider at the orchard. You can also pick fresh fruit while you are there. Competitive runners who want age group recognition should start with the first wave; results go up online and awards are collected at the registration table.
