About the Costume Crawl for PAILA Month
The course runs through the Van Scott Nature Reserve, a trail network that is not stroller-friendly and asks you to bring a carrier if you have a little one along. The terrain is the real thing: natural trails, not pavement. The race is organized by RAISE Your Hearts in honor of Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, so the atmosphere is purposeful and warm rather than purely competitive.
The morning features a costume contest with several categories, a nature scavenger hunt, a mindfulness walk with stations, a story walk, crafts, and light refreshments. There is also live music on site. Day-of registration is available before the start, and water stations and first aid are out on the route.
