About the Corny 5k & 1 Mile Run/Walk
The course follows the National Pike Trail, an old railway corridor that runs through a series of tunnels, now lit. Underfoot it is a mix of grass and gravel, and the route goes out and back through open farmland during harvest season. Heat is real here, and the trail offers little shade, so plan accordingly.
A coffee truck is on site before and after the race. The corn theme runs through the whole morning, costumes included, and the event benefits the restoration of a historic local church.
