About the Cookie Classic Run 2027

The course runs out and back along the Dismal Swamp Canal Trail, a flat asphalt path that makes for straightforward footing in either direction. The surroundings are quiet and natural, which is a contrast to the finish area, where Girl Scout Cookies are waiting. The race is organized by a Girl Scout troop and carries that spirit throughout.

Several distance options are available, so runners tend to spread out early and the course never feels crowded. Aid stations are out on course for the longer distances. Porta-potties are at the start and finish, and a DJ plays during a warm-up session before the gun goes off.
