The course runs alongside the C&D Canal, and the water is with you for most of it. The ground is firm and the terrain stays mostly flat, so the effort is honest rather than relentless. Several distance options are on offer, from a family fun run up through a certified marathon, all sharing the same canal-side scenery.
Proceeds from the race go to local charities and nonprofits in the area, so the entry fee does some extra work beyond the finish line.
