About the ConfluxCity Brewing Company's Turkey Trot 5K/ Family Fun Run
The course starts in a brewery parking lot and heads out along Portland's river trail. There is a real hill partway through, with a turnaround at the top and a descent back down. The route crosses a couple of bridges and winds behind condos before returning along the main road sidewalk. Costumes are encouraged, and dogs on leashes and strollers are welcome.
The post-race gathering is in the beer garden at the brewery. There are snacks and water at the finish, and proceeds go to local school athletic programs. Anything left over goes to a local food-assistance program.
