About the Community Spirit Race 5K & 1 Mile
The course runs on a certified, chip-timed route starting and finishing at the football stadium on the Florida Atlantic University campus in Boca Raton. The stadium setting gives the start area a different feel than a typical park race, with plenty of open space around it. Standard wheelchairs are welcome on the course, though handcycles and racing chairs are not.
Packet pickup runs in the days before the race at Runner's Edge, a local running store, with store-hours pickup available through the day before. Race morning brings a breakfast spread, live music, a kids' zone, and a nonprofit and vendor expo near the finish area. The venue has free parking.
