About the Color Blaze 5k Run/Walk
This is an untimed color run, so there are no clocks and no pressure to push the pace. Color powder gets tossed at participants along the route, so expect to finish looking very different than you started. Leashed dogs are welcome, and strollers can handle the course too. The race benefits a children's hospital, and that context gives the morning a different weight than a typical local road race.
Packet pickup happens the evening before at Huckleberry Park, the same place the race is held, with a race-morning option for those who cannot make it out the day before. Arriving before the start is worth it if you want to get settled before the color chaos begins.
