About the Colchester Causeway 5K, 10K & 15K Running Race

The race starts at Airport Park and heads out onto the Colchester Causeway, a historic path that stretches over Lake Champlain. The surface is dirt and gravel the whole way. Wetlands border the trail on both sides, and the mountain views open up once you are out on the water. Each distance has its own turn-around point, so everyone runs the same stretch of causeway.

The start area is Airport Park, where you also finish. Post-race refreshments are set up there after you come in. Staggered wave starts mean the different distances go off a few minutes apart, so the trail does not get congested at the beginning.
