About the COASTAL EDGE STEEL PIER CLASSIC 5K
The course runs along the Virginia Beach Boardwalk, heading north from the start near the southern end and turning back at a street roughly in the middle of the strip. It is entirely flat on pavement, with the ocean to one side and the boardwalk scene around you. A surfing contest runs alongside the race weekend, so there is more going on at the beach than just the run.
Packet pickup happens a few days before at a local surf shop not far from the start. Race-morning pickup is also available at the start line for those coming in fresh. Parking is in a lot right near the start, with metered street parking on nearby cross streets as a backup.
