The course runs through Closter's neighborhoods and town center, looping past local parks on mostly flat roads. It is the kind of morning where you see the same stretch of sidewalk that longtime locals have raced for decades, and the surroundings are quiet enough that you notice them.

Bib pickup happens the evening before at a running store in River Vale, with race-morning pickup available near the basketball courts at Memorial Park. Post-race refreshments are set out after both the kids run and the main event.
