About the Circle the Lake Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K
The course runs around Circle Lake on paved and unpaved roads through rural farmland, so expect real hills rather than a flat loop. Bald eagles, osprey, pelicans, and deer have all been spotted along the water, and the half marathon distance draws people using it as a tune-up for a fall marathon. The start and finish are at a historic schoolhouse.
A bar and grill sits right at the finish line, and there is a complimentary drink waiting when you are done. The race benefits the Circle Lake Association, with proceeds going toward water quality projects on the lake itself.
