About the Church of the Blessed Sacrament's Oktoberfest Run for the Poor 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run
The course winds through the College Hill neighborhood, one of Wichita's older residential areas, and the finish drops you right into the middle of an Oktoberfest festival already in progress. There is live music at the finish, a kids' play area, and German food and beer. A stein-holding division runs alongside the main race for those who want to carry something extra.
Packet pickup is the evening before at Blessed Sacrament School commons on Roosevelt Street, with race-morning pickup available as well. Both a parking lot and street parking are nearby. The start and finish are at separate intersections a few blocks apart in the neighborhood.
