About the ChristmasTown 5K
The route runs through McAdenville's famous Christmas lights display, so the whole course is lit up around you the entire way. It goes out and back along Main Street and a couple of side streets, with two sharp turnarounds and volunteers at the cones keeping everyone on the correct side of the road. It is an evening race, which is the point.
Packet pickup is at the Pharr YMCA on Main Street, with options on the days before the race, plus race-day pickup outside the building until mid-afternoon. A costume contest kicks off near the YMCA plaza before the gun goes off. Parking is available in front of the YMCA, in the adjacent church lot, or behind the building.
