About the Fourth Annual Chris Lewit Tennis Academy (CLTA) 5K In Memoriam of Major General KO Sanborn, USAF
The course runs through wooded trails on the grounds of a tennis academy, following laps that bring you back past the clubhouse each time around. The West River runs alongside part of the route, and the surrounding trees are typically at full color when the race takes place. Expect roots, rocks, and uneven footing throughout.
Net proceeds benefit veterans charities, and the race is held in memory of a Purple Heart recipient. Tennis students from the academy take part, and families tend to gather at the checkpoint near the club, where passing runners come through more than once.
