About the Chilmark Road Race 5K

The Chilmark Road Race runs along Middle Road, a route that feels distinctly like the island it belongs to. It is a road race through rural terrain, with the kind of scenery that comes from running a back road rather than a main one. Age group awards go deep, covering a wide spread of ages from the very young to well into the nineties.

Check-in runs the evening before and again on race morning at the Chilmark Community Center, where pre-ordered gear is also available for pickup. Runners coming over on the ferry from Woods Hole can take a bus directly from Vineyard Haven to the start. Net proceeds from the race support the Community Center.
