Both races begin and end on North Broadway in the heart of downtown Green Bay, threading through city streets in winter conditions. The surroundings are urban, the weather is what it is, and chocolate at the finish line is the honest draw.
After the race, the gathering moves to Copper State Brewing Co. It is a warm place to land after running in the cold, and the post-race spread there is part of what brings people back.
