About the Chilly Cheeks Christmas 5K
The course runs through Buhl Park while it is decorated with Christmas trees and lights, so you are essentially running through the display rather than past it. It is an evening race, which makes the lights hit differently than a daytime event would. The park setting is quiet and open, and the route is straightforward.
Packet pickup the day before is at a local farm and garden store, where they hand out a piece of Daffin's chocolate with your bib. Race-day pickup opens at the Casino building by the lake a couple of hours before the start. After you finish, Christmas cookies and hot chocolate are waiting inside that same building. There is also a costume contest with gift baskets for the winners.
