About the Children of the Sun Half Marathon
The Children of the Sun Trail is a paved path that doesn't get as much attention as it deserves. The terrain rolls a bit, so there are gentle ups and downs throughout, but nothing that demands a strategy change. The course starts and finishes at Wildhorse Park, and several distance options mean the trail sees runners spread across the morning.
There are aid stations along the route with water and electrolytes. After finishing, a coffee and snacks area gives people a reason to hang around rather than heading straight to their cars.
