About the Chicken Trot 5K Run/Walk

This race is part of the East Texas Poultry Festival, so the atmosphere around the start and finish carries the energy of a larger street fair. The course runs through Portacool Park, keeping things relatively contained. Refreshments are out at the finish, covered by a dedicated sponsor.

Packet pickup and registration are handled through the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce, which is also your contact for any questions before race day. The race begins in the morning, and with the festival running alongside it, there is plenty to stay for after you cross the finish line.
