About the Chesterfield Turkey Trot
The race starts at a community athletic complex on Thanksgiving morning, so the crowd is a mix of people squeezing in a run before the feast. The course is a straightforward out-and-back style on roads near the complex, and the kids fun run follows shortly after the main event, which keeps families around through the morning.
Packet pickup runs for several days the week of the race at a Dick's Sporting Goods nearby, with race-morning pickup available at the complex itself starting well before the gun. Age group awards go several deep, so mid-packers have something to run toward.
