About the Chatty 5k
The Chatty 5k is named after a longtime cross-country coach, and the connection to the sport shows. It starts and finishes at the local high school, with the cross-country teams as the direct beneficiaries of the proceeds. The course is a road race rooted in the school community, with a short kids fun run going off just before the main event.
Packet pickup happens race morning at the cross-country team's tent out front of the high school, and parking is in the same lot where the race starts. Afterward, a county fair is running just down the road, so there is somewhere easy to go once you are done. Same-day registration is cash only.
