About the Chase the Cougar 5K
The course winds through a historic center's grounds on a cross country layout, so expect natural terrain rather than pavement. The footing is grassy and uneven in the way a cross country course tends to be, and the surroundings are open historic grounds rather than roads or a park path.
Registration opens at the Historical Center on race morning well before the start, and same-day sign-up is available. Awards go to top finishers overall and by age group, covering both the run and walk divisions.
