About the Chase Thanksgiving 5K
The course runs through Eastern Regional Park, looping the outer trail a couple of times. Underfoot you get a mix of paved path, natural surface, and wooden bridge crossings, so trail shoes or road shoes both work fine. It runs on Thanksgiving morning, which keeps the atmosphere unhurried and the crowd mostly people who want to move before the meal.
Packet pickup opens the evening before under one of the park pavilions. Parking on-site is free, and restrooms are available in the park. Dogs are welcome on leash, though they stay out of the playground areas.
